Christmas Dream

The tree looks so tiny now in the sea of forests.

Twenty four years of using the word “we."

Great was the trek from the swampy basefield to the drizzling apexcity.

For the last time I drink in all your lies, promising as a nonexistent Christmas white.

With miles of tassels photosynthesizing under kisses from the sun and the wind.

From jingle bells to thumping gavel, strangely resounding when I reminisce.

About the process of becoming, the duality, you and me.

Ever growing are the dandelions rising in people’s conciousness.

Till the wind carries the seeds, and the flapping pages, to a new beginning.

    1. 希望新的一年能慢慢把腦海的畫面跟情節付諸實現:) (靈光一現的瞬間真的是最好的聖誕禮物)

  1. It’s too bad about the lies. We create our own duality when we project all the guilt onto (or take on all the guilt of, for that matter) the one/s we feel hurt by, rather than sharing responsibility. That’s how we get stuck in the cycle of suffering.

    I love these lines:
‘Twenty four years of using the word “we.”
Great was the trek from the swampy basefield to the drizzling apexcity.’
And the image of the trees as the mountain’s tassels! Even the mountain is involved in the love affair of life.

What a deep and perceptive poem! But no surprise there. Fan of your work! <33

    1. Trees as mountain’s tassels…that’s something I hadn’t thought about. More beautiful I would say. Originally I came up with the idea of tassels long as streets and roads dangling on a tree-like world. That’s a spark for me. Thank you:)

      1. Oh that’s amazing… roads and streets dangling on a tree-like world. Thanks for communing with the creative process notes! <33
